Lilamokus Designs grew out of the desire to create unique, every-day style of jewelry. It all started when I wanted to make a specific pair of earrings that I really wanted but couldn’t find to buy anywhere. I made that set of earrings, and then some similar earrings for friends, and then my hobby turned into a multitude of ideas for earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. Later, my love of puzzles became incorporated into some of my designs. These jewelry pieces then led to ideas for various puzzle-related crafts.

The name Lilamokus literally means Purple Squirrel in Hungarian. The name came from my love of squirrels and the color purple. But, it turns out Purple Squirrel is a business term for that perfect employee you’ll never be able to hire. Which I thought was perfect because now I’m my own Purple Squirrel employee!
